Being among trees, touching bark and noticing its colours, knots, and patterns brings me back to myself. Through finger-dabbed oil paint, cold wax, and needle-felted wool on linen, I recreate the textures that invite me to pause. Velvety paint and wool knots echo the contrasts my hands discover on the bark. For me, Returning to Earth begins with these small encounters: slowing down, paying attention, and receiving the quiet steadiness of the natural world.
