Open-Hearted - In this art I explore the heart wound. What feeds and is fed by the heart is
molten Earth - powerful, beautiful, dangerous and transformative. The wound itself gives a
glimpse into this hidden power. Lava creates new soil, nourishes and renews minerals that
have been lost to the layers of time, and resets the landscape for new beginnings. The wound
burns hot and painful until it slowly cools into its new shape and the cycle of new growth
continues.
